What Is an SPX Guiding Ring?

An SPX guiding ring, also known as a wear ring or alignment ring, is a component installed around the plunger or piston to guide its linear movement within the pump. It ensures that the plunger rod stays aligned with the cylinder bore and prevents metal-to-metal contact between moving parts.
